Because Comrade demanded it.

If you look carefully, he is waving at the drone from the second building to the right.

I'll add one more photo of the new Lagoon ride. I took this a couple weeks ago.

So this tower has resurfaced on Alta Terra's website.

Quote:
Downtown SLC Redevelopment

Status: In Design, Planned Start 2023

Unit Types: Micro units, Studios, One, Two, and Three Bedrooms

Product: 16-story high-rise, with residential over 4-story concrete podium garage with 361 spaces

Conventional multifamily in the downtown Salt Lake City CBD

350 units
Salt Lake City, UT
I would be elated if the final product looked like the renderings but it seems like this design is more than 16 stories:

This would be a fantastic addition in place of that dilapidated motel 6 lot.

The fencing has come down, the crews are cleaning up and the leasing office is open at the Paper Box Apartments. Says they'll start occupancy this month, so that one's pretty much wrapped up.

Yes - roughly 24 or so stories in that rendering.

Crazy that it took about half a decade to build what looks like a cinderblock self-storage facility.

It looks like Astra had a concrete pouring accident:

Man, that construction site has had a lot of issues. First the drill rig collapse, then a gas leak earlier this week, and now a pouring accident? Yeesh.

Seems like the Worthington site has been progressing more quickly and cleanly.

From what it looks like to me, it seems that they put put the concrete down in areas without any rebar. I am hoping that this means it can be cleaned up without too much of a problem.
