Are the Maclab/Pangman towers officially being called Parkview Towers?

J123 is a sharp looking tower, I wonder which Toronto developer is behind it? Assuming a rental building based on the current market...

I agree...Economies can't be supported on micro breweries and co share tech space.

However, why would you open in Edmonton when you can operate out of Acheson/nisku/ etc and pay half the tax.

New community near Stadium LRT station to celebrate groundbreaking Monday.

Developers and dignitaries will break ground on a new urban district next to the Stadium transit station Monday, the first step toward a long-awaited transit-oriented community in central Edmonton.

Named after the Muttart lumber yards that was formerly on the site, the Muttart Urban District will add about 720 residential units and 7,500 square feet of commercial space over three phases.

^indeed and quite exciting to see these lands finally being redeveloped. As much as I am a proponent for increasing the housing stock in the Downtown, it is equally important to increase the density in the communities around the Downtown.

It depends on the end-user and their specific requirements. Not all business decisions are based on property taxes.

Are these not the transparent solar skylight system? We installed this at the Dominion Hotel redevelopment on Whyte.

this should be a good project for all involved including rohit so enjoy the moment - even the weather looked fondly on this one.

at the same, it needs to be remembered how long it has taken this site to reach this point and how much hard work by a host of people and firms, some of whom aren't even around any more. there are a lot of lessons to be learned for those that care to take them.

I had thought at one time there would be high-rises - but this development is like any suburban development. There is nothing interesting about it - its low rise and likely wood frame construction. I am not sure what the "urban district" they are tagging it as is about. There is nothing "urban" or "district" about it and retail is rather limited. That is is close to existing sports amenities is a given.
