Pure Spirit is a condo development in the 'Distillery' District, an old Victorian area of Toronto...the tower is only 32 storeys, but the podium has a distinctive wedge shape...almost finished now...pics by current at SSC, on a cloudy fall day in TO....

Not that anyone cares, but here's an elevation render of change for one street/neighbourhood known as BLOOR in Toronto, to scale:

Great job Maldive, but Trump is 282m including the spire. It's too tall in your rendering.

You're quibbling... the flagpole is too long but who cares. The latest elevations show the top of Trump's quarter onion dome is just 20/30 feet shorter than the top of Scotia so from that angle it's pretty much dead on (remember your POV is at grade/on the water well west of Bay Street).

To those who follow Toronto developments closely, I chose to not include some very large office projects like Richmond Adelaide 3, 151 Front Street West and BCE 3 that would impact this render, because I felt they wouldn't be starting any time soon

Even though I included a couple of new proposals in the entertainment district for my own amusement, I was aiming for a future skyline that was 90% accurate within the next 4 or 5 years... so certain condos not yet U/C made it into the render, when office projects did not.

Didn't mean to criticize. I just mentioned it in case you weren't aware of the new height.

Really is a great job.

Toronto looks so much more international in Maldive's picture, than what has presently been built.

Can't wait for the skyscrapers u/c to be finished.

A smart move on Pinnacle's part. Did anyone ever hear how much of the building was sold? I was under the impression they were building based more on confidence than actual sales.

Hey guys I have a question: What caused the linear high-rise development along that corridor about 3-5 miles from downtown? Is it because of a subway route ?

Its closer to 10 miles in length from Finch to downtown, and yes its the TTC Subway system.

with respect to 1 Bloor East I haven't heard anything about a cancellation from the construction side of the industry unless something has happened very quickly over the holidays. Constructionwise I thought they were a go in April. - ice

Securing financing an issue?

Also have a friend who was planning on working on Aura but has gone over to Pemberton after waiting and waiting... I believe they want to sell more units before commencing and things have slowed.

Now they have it as stale proposal. I wonder if they actually have read a single thread because their is nothing stale about not hearing news for a month and not one official word that it has been canceled.
