Agree. My posts are down a good 80% over the last 3-4 years and I doubt I'm alone. People come on here for entertainment, information, constructive dialogue. When they're met with nasty unpleasant people you question bothering in the first place.

I visit SSP almost daily but doubt I'll ever participate like I used to. It's not too late to keep the ones you have though.

Let's talk about tall buildings under construction instead. For instance, 1 tower on the list is topped out, Ice East, and will be off the list shortly. The 2 newest towers on the list, Telus Sky and 488 University are in site prep, as is Massey Tower, and we could all argue about whether they are actually U/C or not. Stantec and Brookfield are still doing foundation work. 10 York is beginning to rise above the Gardiner, and across the street the Harbour Plaza twins seem to be in limbo. And the star of the show, 1 Bloor, has just passed the halfway mark and is steadily rising day by day.
Also, Eau Du Soleil will knock 488 University off the list soon, and Massey will be knocked off by 45 Bay later in the year, but it may stay on the list because of Ice E finishing up.

I am in favour of keeping the list as is, no need to fiddle with it now. It may stay all 200 metre towers for quite some time, or it may not. New towers will join the list in time, ones that have been proposals for quite some time, and possibly others that are so new we don't even know about them yet. Time will tell...
The Top 10 list should stay above 200 meters for the next 4 to 5 years..

Brookfield Place Calgary
Telus Sky
Stantec
Massey Tower
488 University
45 Bay
Eau du Soliel

If it wasn't for the Calgary Tower, that could be the Bay Adelaide Construction site, right down to the Hudson Bay Department store across the street.

Probably going to be my favourite Calgary building if it looks like the renders.

A lot of similarities... Found this on Brookfield's site, I believe it was the original proposal? Might have just been a placeholder until the current design was done.

Based on how Bay Adelaide East is turning out I have very high hopes for the final product of this one

I made a silly error when I wrote that top 10 summer list. 88 Scott will be knocked off the list (I believe it already has been), and I forgot to add Telus Sky into the top 10. It will be 222m so just a little shorter than Ten York. Stantec we still don't have confirmation on the exact height yet. So it depends what the final number on that one ends up being.

That was the original proposal called Herald Square. It was increased in height by around 30 meters, renamed Brookfield Place, and had the curved tapering corners added to the design.

I also have very high hopes for this one.

From yesterday...

Excellent to see an 88 Scott update... but it needs to go into the #11-30 thread now.

Its moving, but very slowly. Things will likely pick up a great deal once One York has topped out.

It will be under construction for a couple of years before we can even do any photo updates on it.

All I did was update my drawing, there was already an older one on the Toronto diagram for well over a year. There are lots of other drawings I need to update as well.
