The ampersand is actually GenX repellent.

Very disappointing Desert Viking would demo before getting permit.

So the 3501 N Central site submitted a followup pre-app a few days ago. Not sure why, but they did. The description of the project seems to be the same: A NEW MIXED USE OFFICE AND RESIDENTIAL BUILDING WITH SITE WORK AND LANDSCAPING. It still seems to be a container type project that will be called The Howie.

Yea, I don't think this is the right spot for a container style development. With all the higher density projects occurring nearby, this will most likely be a low density type of development in a smaller lot that would have been better suited for a residential/mixed use tower (there have been 2 renderings for towers on this lot). It's a shame this isn't the approach being taken.

In my case it would be, I live in the old shipping container between the punchcard building and the Upside down pyramid and I work in the punchcard building.

Actually, that might be an advantage for me!

^ I understand the concern about height, but there are 10 other surface lots to choose from if someone wanted to build tall - assuming the market on Central Ave. demanded it.

I remember hearing similar doubts about The Churchill and those have all seemed to vanish:

Can guarantee it will age better than the tan/stucco Walgreens, Panera etc. that still front Central Ave.

This project + Park Central will be a destination for professionals during the week and 'Instagrammers' on weekends. This area was boring as hell a few years ago - I think it ends up being a pleasant surprise to some of you

Cambria cam is back up again. Looks like Cambria is going to have pretty good floor plate spacing. Should be kinda high for only 7 floors. Also, it looks like Link may be placing the facade on the garage? There is a small crane on top of the garage portion in the webcam, but can't tell by the angle. Anyone nearby to verify if they are finally cladding the garage?
