Heavy duty equipment is starting to show up. I would imagine equipment will start to filter in this weekend/beginning of next week. Most of the machinery will probably show up Tuesday (after memorial day).

I went by today and they are making small progress but nothing substantial yet. I posted some pictures on my blog. Hopefully it turns up more next week. My guess is they are still working on the park and have their hands full with Evo as well but who knows for sure.

I wouldn't think it would be same construction company as Evo. I'm assuming they are contracting different companies to build the two towers. Anybody have info if it's true?

Yes that is true. Evo is being build by Keating and FMC is being built by Turner and the park is being built by Hunter Roberts.

It's been two weeks since the groundbreaking. I can't imagine what they could possibly be waiting for at this point. If they want to finish in two years they better hurry the hell up.

I would expect to see heavy machinery next week. There is only a cement truck on site right now but I cannot verify if this is for FMC.

They could basically start now. Only have to remove some fencing and they're good to go.

If there's nothing by next week I'm getting a shovel and starting to dig myself!

Haha. Nice Summers! Maybe we can have a member meet up there, and all start digging!

Who knows, maybe they are building this prefab. Crane it in, with prebuilt, 3 floor pieces! Could you imagine that driving down the street!

Well they did technically break ground in May. It does seem like they're taking a bit of time to go from groundbreaking to actual construction though. I'm not too concerned about it. This project will be off the ground soon enough

As I have said before, a ceremonial groundbreaking does not neccessarily mean construction has started. Believe me, those involved are not sitting on their rear-ends. I am currently in the construction business. There is much more which happens behind the scences as opposed to what one witnesses onsite.

When I walked by earlier there were three surveyors on site and this doohickey was drilling:

Anyone have any idea what they're doing?

Also, the cement truck on site is for the parking garage, as I suspected. They're pouring cement for the new addition now.

summers it looks like they are drilling test bores. Usually happens right before site work and caissons start
