Tragic to see so many Canadian teams at the bottom of the standings. What the hell happened to Ottawa and Montreal? I dont remember them being bad

It really is sad to see how many Canadian teams are poorly managed (Montreal is the #1 example of this), hopefully we can have all 7 in the playoffs soon!

McDavid gets the Flames scrambling, so I wouldn't be surprised. Johnny Hockey isn't the same against Edmonton either, these games should be a showcase for those 2, but one player goes missing while the other stands out.

Go oilers! Flames need to tank it or they’ll have nothing for picks. Oh, except they already traded picks for Hamonic. Fuck! Finishing in 9th or 11th is the worst kind of loser season.

Or how about they knuckle down and make the playoffs, we are only out by 2 points right now.

Until the Flames can figure out how to win at home the chances of them making the playoffs are zero.

I can't believe the Flames lost to the Islanders last night! They need to take advantage of weak opponents like that to make the playoffs.

As it stands right now. THey have one of the toughest schedules in the home stretch. I don't think they make it.

Seems like the Flames could use a few more high draft picks. The core they have is decent but it doesn't seem like they will ever challenge for a Stanley Cup.

They traded their first and second for this year, so playoffs this year or things won't be good.

9th or 11th ???? They are 18th in the nhl. And Edmonton is 25th.

Pretty sure that qualifies for some draft picks lol

They need to win 11 games. The way they have been losing that seems impossible.

He means 9th in the west. The worst place to finish.

They need 17 points in their next 12 games, with a healthy dose of regulation or overtime wins.

They also need some help, save Anaheim all the teams they are battling have games in hand. The sheer number of three point games in today's NHL make catching up really, really, really hard.

Mike Smith is going to need to have SV% of .950 for the rest of the season for them to have any chance.

I can't believe the Islanders rookie goalie made 50 saves!

Like i said a week ago, I doubt they will make it, they aren't scoring enough and they are allowing too many goals. No point in tanking though, they get nothing for it, so better bear down and give it their best shot.

I wonder if the Canucks will win the most injured team in the league this year again? We have not one but five players out for the season and have had for a couple of weeks. Last year we won hands down with 450 man games lost. Year before wasn't much better.

Winnipeg Jets

Vancouver might be no 1 but the Jets had 8 regulars out tonite vs Nashville and lost Paul Stastny in warmup and Micheal Hutchison after 9 minutes with concussion protocol . We have had Byfuglien , Perreault , all miss more than 10 games this year , and Enstrom , Lowry (35) , Mason , Scheifele , Tanev , Mathias and Kulikov all more than 20 key guys since the middle of November, plus I forgot maybe no 1 defenceman Jacob Trouba over 20 as well
