That, at least, is a good news whoever you root for.

/\ Nice - puts what’s important in life into perspective eh.

My daughter works at after school care at an elementary school in Victoria - all the boys (age 6 to 7) drew Go Edmonton Go signs and spent the afternoon today outside marching around chanting with their signs and getting cars to honk their horns, lol.

When my daughter told them she was cheering for Florida they said “you’re not even a real person then!”.

I was surprised how much the city got behind the Oilers in the final - but I’m sure Edmonton will return the favour next year when the Canucks meet the… Leafs in the final!

Apropos to that, we've got three Stanley Cup - calibre teams in Canada at the moment. It's a relatively good time in hockey.

With so much bad news these days, that must have been the best news Black Star. Happy for your family.

Agreed. I hope your son continues to do well!

And, congratulations to the Oilers on a good run.

The end result may have been a disappointment, but, the Oilers do not need to hang their heads. To come back from a 3-0 deficit and come within a single goal of taking it all is truly remarkable. I don't think any reasonable Canadian would doubt for a second the commitment and determination of this team.

Keep your spirits up Oilers. You are one step closer to taking it all next year!!!

The Oilers had a good run, they should be proud of how well they did considering how the season started. Give it a few days of morning then you guys in Edmonton can just enjoy the summer.

Indeed. F*ck Cancer. As one of the oldest cancer hospitals in the world, Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo says:

That's great news for your son and entire family, Black Star!

I'd say 4 teams that can compete for a cup. Edmonton obviously, Vancouver, Winnipeg and Toronto. Ottawa should start to improve soon, too much talent to be bottom feeders. Montreal has a few more seasons, and my Flames will at least set a direction in the draft this weekend .

Ok, enough of the Stanley Cup, let’s get back to the soap opera in the desert lol. Apparently Alex Meruelo has tossed the keys on the table, taking his billion dollars and walking away from his rights to reactivate the Coyotes. The league has to be ecstatic at this news. They are done with AM, and now these rumoured other groups out there if they exist can enter the expansion process for more money.

Prior to this news coming out during game 7, they also backed out of the plan to have The Tucson AHL team play 6 games at Mullet Arena next year. Speculation is that he will hang on the ownership of that team and move them to a new arena. He’s building in Reno in two years.
