Exclamation Affirmative!

I agree! It looks more complete. I think the master plan is genius. Seriously! =)

That's not a paint. It's sealer. They are sealing the stone to prevent water penetration and staining. Sealers - or at least the type being used here - also bring out the color of the stone. So it will look dark like it's wet, even when it is not.

Also, just noticed the clear paneling on the south side of the building. Seems like a good day today.

They are dismantling the crane next to the Pavilion and moving it onto this new tower.

They do this in order to make room to continue work on building the northeastern part of the plaza.

Do any nature lovers know if the Plaza foliage on the right will reach anything near the thickness of the foliage on the left at St Paul's? I know the trees were reported to be young, and undergrown due to being moved this year. Thanks for anyone in the know. Click link to make it bigger.

The grow into a complete canopy. Won't happen for a few years. They are pretty big trees.

Are they making any special efforts (e.g., giving them nutrients, regular watering, etc.) to help the trees grow faster than they would naturally?

Here's my rendering of the WTC Transportation Hun Oculus. I stepped up my game and I used a different program called Kerkythea to complete the rendering, which was better than my previous one.

I could still do some more work on the spine arches (also known as the "wings" of the oculus) and some softening.

I'm looking forward to the oculus more than any other development in the entire site. I cannot wait to see it completed. Nice job with the render, Grand Architect. It looks great.

Anyone know what's happened to the cam that looks down from 7 WTC over the site? Someone's twisted it round, and now it looks at the woolworth building.

Camera fixed, and looks like they took the protection off the paving up to the memorial.

Actually they are covering the concrete with waterproofing and insulation, then they will pour another layer of concrete. On top of that will be the dirt, trees, etc.

Excellent photos! It's been a while since we had any construction photo updates

Here's another rendering of the Memorial that I made. I didn't know whether they are adding an open-air grass space or not, so I included it anyways.
