Interesting that the artist can set up an easel and take plenty of time and care to produce a marketable piece of art, but if I set up a tripod with a prosumer camera and take time to compose and shoot a high-quality photo, security would be all over me about violating copyrights, and would make me leave.

Not much beats watching a nice sunset. It's been a long time since I posted a photo here, so here's where I was last week, and that's a really nice image staff:

Thanks. And that's a spectacular panoramic!

Some pics I took (except for #6, since that's me) at a weird masquerade party this weekend.

Scary Bolt outside my window. Had to do contrast fixing to clear up the over-exposure and I love the outcome. Next electrical storm I'm hiding

An odd sight on a Vancouver street

It is an observation of mine that the more one is out and about observing a city, the greater the likelihood you will come across bizarre sights that exist for only brief periods of time. I happened to find a Pepsi machine in the middle of a side street in Yaletown, a block over from Urban Fare and the Roundhouse Community Centre.

^That's awesome. I'm constantly kicking myself for not carrying my camera everywhere.

My nephew and great niece having fun and a bit cold on a hot summer day at a local lifestyle center

Now here's a couple with my new SLR camera I bought the other day. I was just testing it out for the first time.

^Congrats on the new camera. So when's the first photothread with the new one?

Today was a day of fun finds:

I just had to take it. Originally I was thinking, oh yeah, well you're on camera too, but then I noticed the quality grammar too.

Tonight, but I can't promise they'll be all that great. I'm still trying to figure it out.
