It does seem to be for marketing reasons... like having the feeling that you are at the center of things, though in fact Houston has many centers which can all be pretty active.

Is that City Centre town & country going up where that Town & Country Mall used to be?

Yeah it is. They demolished the mall and put up that City Centre thing. They had a Neiman Marcus and were going to keep it as part of the development, but they did away with it. A Neimans will most likely go into the new mall in Katy (The Grand). It is being built by Simon (The Galleria).

A pair of 19-story condos proposed for Taylor Lake Village (Clear Lake area) which would be located along NASA Parkway.




The city is currently considering changing zoning regulations and will be taking comments from residents for the time being.

anyone have a link for what is being built just west of hte JW on westheimer on the westbound side?? I drove by there an hour ago, but coudlnt stop in the middle of traffic to take a pic of the billboard they just placed on the empty lot.

I think that's the new AD Players Theater. Haven't been able to find their renderings online since the sign's been up, but it looks pretty nice...
