Not winning any style awards but an excellent addition to the community. If we want to revitalize Centennial, this is a good step.

The lot area per dwelling (713 sq ft) is only giving me 14 units for that property. Unless my math if off. Lot are is about 10,000 sq ft. Based on the variance, the building is pushed to the Ellice and Victor property line with parking in the back.

Maybe a few floors of office or other, and a 2-3 floors of residential.
Pretty dang good eh? lol

Really exciting for my area. There’s so much potential west of Sherbrook and even Sherbrook/Maryland south of Ellice.

Would love to see one or two of these at Ellice and Arlington.

The former CRA building on Broadway is seeing some externally-visible progress. New windows have been going in, and they've fenced off the small parking lot next to The Don.

What was it supposed to be again? A hotel?

I'm having a hard time picturing this Brutalist civic bunker amongst the enticing cosmopolitan destinations on the Hyatt website.

The former CRA building - new Hyatt Hotel will be getting a skylight/atrium cut in the middle like the Bay redevelopment. They have been working inside for a couple of months now.

Interesting location for a hotel. I wonder what market they’re after?

Hotel or "hotel" like the extended stay hotels on N Main? Otherwise I'm not sure who would stay there. Too far from downtown, too far from HSC.

I was thinking the same thing. It's not an appealing area for the average traveller.

Maybe they have a deal in place already to be a hotel for some northern communities when they come into town for appointments, but it still seems like an odd place.

They must’ve done some research before selecting the site. I wish them the best.

I stayed at the Hyatt in Minneapolis a while ago. Not sure what brand exactly it is. But it's got a big atrium in the centre as is definitely on the brutalist, dirty, downtown list haha. But the rooms and everything were nice for sure.
