^That makes sense. On further digging from the Planning Report:

"The 40-storey (& 29 storey) tower is proposed to be accentuated with a "ribbon" punctuated feature cladding on the west and east façades, with a canopy linkage that will architecturally and physically connect each tower and provide an overhead trellis wrapping over an amenity space at each tower’s rooftop.

I drove by this project today and looks like it's coming along very fast. I bet this project will be done faster then it took to build Evolve or Prime.

The entire streetscape of KGB from 96th thru 102nd is finally beginning to look a little downtown-esk. The plethora of cranes over the hub development also nicely add to the skyline for now.

They are already constructing the 10th floor. This is moving pretty quick.

May I ask if you know how many floors in total it will be? Thank you.

Phase 2 is an office tower that's 15 stories and two residential towers that are 40 and 29 stories with retail at the bottom, and a 2 story restaurant.

Phase 3 is a 34 story residential building with retail at the bottom

Phase 4 nothing publicly released as far as I'm aware.

I feel like King George station could use an upgrade to match the new surrounding buildings.

Yeah, a lot more glass would look nice. Same with the outside of Surrey Central.

We've brought this up many times in the past on this forum. Many people predict that it will get a restoration once all phases are complete.

I don't think Translink or the city is willing to shell out for aesthetic upgrades unless there is a need for capacity upgrades. The money has to come from the developers, though there are no incentives for them to spend money for the public good once they complete the project.

They've started putting on some of the windows on the second floor and some sort of siding stuff up various floors.
