I know this has nothing to do with this forum, but congratulations to Summerside, PEI native Heather Moyce on her 2nd gold medal in Bobsleigh!

Montana's is one. Should be building it this year by the new West Royalty Sobeys.

Tim Hortons pulling Cold Stone Creamery from Canadian stores

OAKVILLE, Ont. — Tim Hortons Inc. is pulling the Cold Stone Creamery brand from its Canadian restaurants, a move that the company says will allow franchise owners to focus on their core business.

The chain’s decision to end ice cream sales in Canada cost Tim Hortons about $19 million in the fourth quarter but will help simplify its menu, which has grown far beyond coffee and doughnuts.

Its partnership with the American dairy chain Cold Stone Creamery, which began in 2009, will continue in the U.S. Tim Hortons locations.

Prince Edward Island has two Cold Stone Creamery locations: St. Peter's Road in Charlottetown and Water Street in Summerside.

The announcement came Thursday as Tim Hortons reported it had $898.5 million of revenue during the fourth quarter, up 10.7 per cent from a year earlier, but a smaller profit than analysts were expecting.

More to come

Oh ok, I didn't realize they had one at UPEI. Is the Ellis Bros. property where Lawtons is? There is a Tim's and an Esso located nearby as well?

I hear that there is going to be a restaurant opening in the old Co-op location in downtown Charlottetown. It is to sell Burritos. Burrito Jax is the name of the Franchise coming to downtown Charlottetown. Also there is another Food Franchise to open in June or July that has just opened up in Moncton.

Perhaps this is the restaurant you are thinking of:

Piatto Pizzeria & Enotecta
http://www.piattopizzeria.com/home

They are going to be located on Main St in Moncton in the same building as the new Starbucks, but they haven't opened yet. In the T&T article about this new restaurant, they mentioned they were planning on a franchise in Charlottetown this year too.

Does anyone know if Price Mart is keeping the location open in the old Shoppers building. As there is a new location opening up buy the new Sobeys out by the mall.

I believe that it's a parking lot for PEI Activewear. That yellow house next to it isn't there anymore.

I noticed the play with King of Cubs and Outerlimit sports is doing a renovation. it looks really nice!
