2025 saw PD's continued expansion, with YYJ, NAS, PVR, CUN, GCM and LIR all inaugurating. It also saw LAS cut. AC resumed LHR service, and launched a weekly YOW-NAS flight. They also resumed daily flights to YFC and YQM.
Looking ahead to 2026, we already know PD will launch MIA and PHX in the early weeks of 2026. What else do they have in store? Will YMM end up launching after all after a false start this year? We also know that TS is launching a 3x weekly LGW flight this summer. Hopefully 2026 is the year YOW eclipses 5M pax again!

With the already known planned capacity increases, surpassing 2018’s record is very possible, but surpassing 4 million domestically like 2018 is unlikely. As for PD, I’d put any of YLW, YXE, YQR and YDF ahead of YMM actually coming to fruition. Still wish they would start DH4’ing at least daily to YQG, YXU, YKF, YHM & YSB. Not only would that generate more regional O&D, it would provide substantial feed to the YOW hub…which is far from realizing its potential. Time will tell. One thing’s for sure, PD need to substantially increase their aircraft utilization if they ever want to start turning a profit.
