Yeah, I don't doubt the wind chill if one is in a windier area, but my area, which is normally quite windy with the tall buildings, wasn't so bad.

I'd say it did feel about -12C when it was gusting towards me...but considering I am sick, I may just be more sensitive to the cold at this time.

We also got about 1CM in my part of Toronto, which became sludge in the sidewalks, mixing in with previously frozen sludge and old snowbanks. It's not a great walk out there, but that's winter for you.
It's pretty nice all things considering, with partly overcast conditions and -8C.

EDIT: Apparently the wind chill is -17C. I certainly forgot, until I walked up the incline to my local veggie shop.
Got 1cm at home and as it’s cold it’s not going anywhere. Finally had to shovel for the first time. And it was the easiest shoveling ever. Downtown the snow didn’t stick to the roads.

everyone is freaking out about the snow, the news and the radio and city officials are telling people to stay home if possible and only make essential trips. It is expected to start at 8 pm tonight and snow all night, possibly switching to freezing rain or rain tomorrow but snow most likely in eastern areas and the Fraser Valley. Anywhere up to 25cm is expected in some areas, most likely nothing by the water.

It is currently -1.

^I'm more "concerned" for Thursday, tomorrow it's supposed to peak above freezing tomorrow afternoon with some rain after the snow then drop to -5 overnight.

Lots of snow in Toronto this morning, then sunny and cloudy. Great fun before they salted/plowed the side streets.

Reached a high of -12c today, with a mix of sun and cloud. We now have a snowfall warning as it starts to warm up, roughly 15-20cm between tonight and tomorrow evening.

Something on the more nerdy side, there were lots of photos coming thourgh of a phenomenon called Fata Morgana from up top of Big White today. This is a mirage caused by distortion of light light reflecting through layers of warm and cold air causing mountains to stretch, or float or be turned upside down. VERY COOL!!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fata_Morgana_(mirage)

And no there are no White Walkers behind that wall of ice!! At least I hope not....

Here is what the mountain range typically looks like:

Just saw a video of that last week from a guy in Miami out on a boat seeing cargo ship way off the distance that looked like it was hovering well above the water.

-6C with a wind chill of -9 and cloudy (some snow this afternoon). Bring on the sun at this point.

Low of -8C (wind chill of -12) this morning.

The warmspot was Halifax (Dockyard), NS at 11.4C. This is actually the temperature at this hour so this might not be the official high for the day.

Warmest low was Sartine Island, BC at 3.6C.

Calm, dry and chilly. The sky was a mix of hazy cloud and blue.

Tuesday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 2 C, the low was -2 C.
It may have been warmer but there are 5 hours of data missing from the middle of the
day (10:00 AM to 3:00 PM) on the Environment Canada page for Vancouver Harbour.

Storm started late. Won't be much snow and then it transitions quickly to rain. Everything is closed until at least 10 am.

EDIT: The transition from snow to ice pellets to freezing rain to rain is almost complete. I expect most things in the city to re-open after lunch. The wind is strong af, though, and everything is still covered in ice for the moment.

Got a couple of cm of wet snow before the transition to freezing rain. Just rain out there now, and 3 degrees on its way to 7 later this afternoon.

Looks like a proper snowstorm in Van. Kinda jealous, we haven't gotten a true dumping of snow.

-5C in Moncton at noontime and mostly cloudy. There is a blustery wind making it seem colder.

We received 8 cm of snow last evening before the transition to rain. This was likely the biggest snowfall of the winter so far in Moncton, which is highly atypical. We should be thigh deep in the white stuff by now, but the ground cover is only about 4-5 cm. A very strange winter so far.

The train of storms seems to be over. No significant precipitation expected for the next two weeks.

It's snowing like crazy in Vancouver atm. Should turn to rain later today, and then freeze over night. The roads will be messy.

In simpler times yesterday

There's like a foot of snow in the alley behind my apartment building. I think every school in the metro region is shut down, so it's pretty quiet out there (besides the screaming kids sledding down the local park).

Vancouver looks snowier than Moncton. The world is truly topsy-turvy.
