Oh, man. That's going to look awesome. It could end up being one of the best lit buildings in Texas.

What I like the most is there appears to be some glow reflection onto the facade surrounding the lights. It's not just projecting out from the edge, but also creates a bit of a glow around them. That is going to be beautiful at night.

I felt the pinstripe LED lighting was unimpressive at first based on the renderings, but it actually looks amazing. it will look beautiful when it is completed.

It gives the Robert E. Lee Apartments a reason to raise their rents.

Frost updated their headliner photo on their website to a picture of current construction from aerial view. It's a good photo.

Not entirely sure, but it looks to be on floor 13 or 14.

Also by the looks of it, the structure of the garage should be done by at the earliest tomorrow.

I think the structure of the garage has a week or more to go.

Side note: You can see the newer courthouse buildings in that picture. I think they look pretty good. Even the boxy red brick one with the green roof... it's simple yet classy (not just a blue glass box) and fits well with the old building.

Speaking of green roofs, there's good ol' Reyes Bar!

Another week to go seems about right. I never saw any of the elevator is being installed for this garage or stairwells, other than the one currently being installed, so curious to see how the garage and up looking inside.

Additionally, I have seen a lot of posting about the glass being scheduled for completion by Dec 2018, while that is true, it isn't for the main building - the chess piece. The glass on the Frost Tower needs to be finished by August or sooner in that the interior can be finished in time. The building needs to be closed off, and therefore encased, to the outside for them to do much of the work required to be finished in time. Not sure if anyone has noticed a lot of water on some of the levels from some of the past two weeks of rain. What is worse is the dichotomy happening – on one hand you have floors that are completely encased with glass and the other you have open interiors. One would think that those areas cased in glass would be better off with less effects from the storms, but because it's enclosed in glass, as opposed to the higher levels that are open, once the storm clears it takes longer for the water to evaporate due to less direct sunglass from floors being closed off by the glass. The glass on the garage would seem to be a second priority since it is after all a garage and is already partially open.

It might be incorporated into the building itself, as I assume parking is for building tenants and not the general public.

Collage silliness:

The MCP from "Tron" even! The cool blue LED night lights as show in the webcam capture really could work with Tron.

It'll be interesting to hear what, if anything, the actual tower is likened to upon completion.

Not quite shown in any rendering I've seen is if the Frost logos at the top will inadvertently resemble from certain angles a pair of eyes, much like the owl faces of the Frost tower in Austin. Renderings suggest logos will be on each of the four cardinal sides, which means that unless the building is directly viewed frontally from those sides, observers will likely see two round, white logos with dark irises peering overhead. Will they stare at us?

(Photo video capture from KSAT.com)

The further back away, the more level the logos will become. I see you! Eeeeek, it is the MCP!
