The top floor doesn't look like it's finished though.

I think the last floor may be finished in steel, since it was part of the "pod" addition to the original concrete structure.
You can see two I-beams still poking out, waiting to have steel added to extend the floorplate.
So I guess the concrete part is finished (i.e. forms and scaffolding all removed), but the steel part isn't finished yet.

exactly what my guess was as well.

Anyone know why the first 2 floors have no curtain yet?

Hopefully it's a sign they're working on the design to make it look good (i.e. not plain ugly spandrel glass).

The 725granville video shows what looked like both clear glass and spandrel glass (i.e. along Robson) - I'm just hoping the first two levels (where there's glass - don't end up looking like a bad condo). For reference see Scotiabank Theatre/Electric Avenue.

I'm also hoping that's why they haven't added any more panels to the protruding restaurant area at Howe & Robson where there's spandrel on the panels (a test panel?) But it's probably too late or too costly to reverse course.

Maybe it's to help load equipment and materials into those floors?

Would also be nice to have planters (with a flair) along the entire wall/glass stretch around the building. Not only are they aesthetically pleasing, but are deterrents for drunks peeing on the walls (like dogs) and paint/acid graffiti vandals. Trimmed low-maintenance hedges could be utilized, with an occasional miniature Alberta spruce or other evergreens. Most important of all, management should get people to constantly sweep the exterior of the complex. The entire area can be very third world dirty at times!

People seem to disparage it all the time. I love it. Like you said, it's solid. I preferred it back in the day, though, with the original TD logo and what appeared to be black as opposed to brown glass (has the building been re-clad, or is it just my imagination?).

Something like 15 YEARS.
15 years? Wow. I guess something is better than nothing, though I find the seats that they have to be a bit too small (disproportionate). My biggest gripe is the chandeliers; TD Tower is not the kind of building that should have chandeliers.

Sorry to go off-topic.

They have been excavating some huge pipes under Robson Street this week. The whole street has been closed all week and it was still a hole when I walked by few hours ago. Not sure what they are changing or adding there.

I wish they would move the parking entrance to be in the middle of the Robson block au lieu of its current spot.

The first two floors will be Nordstrom, they are responsible for construction of their own floors which includes facade.

The picture in post 1279 shows some facade spillover onto the second level on the Granville frontage. Perhaps Nordstrom is using the same contractors concurrently?
