Milpitas

Piper Drive (Next to the station. Supposed to be a 12 story apartment complex)

Regardless; nice shots, man!

(straying a bit off-topic here, but: just out of that shot above it widens to 12(!) lanes at the intersection with the next parkway/expressway thing)

Just saw this right now actually. I actually commute this way and this place is JAM PACKED right after Montague Expressway/Great Mall Parkway.

When you continue straight on Montague, right passed Great Mall Parkway, cars are usually gridlocked.

There is a long line before you even turn right on Montague towards Great Mall Parkway (following the VTA Lightrail line). From there there is gridlock traffic all the way until you reach Samsung HQ.

Refer to my "Milpitas BART Station - Drone (4K HD)" YouTube video to see more of the surrounding area!

Cheers and I hope you have a good weekend

Milpitas: Piper Drive (Looks like they're not even doing this anymore... disappointed as I wanted more height in Milpitas)

Pedestrian Bridge connecting from Milpitas BART to the Edge Apartments will start July 10th (Tomorrow) until July 13th. Montague Expressway will be closed during this time.

Hey guys! I think some of you would be interested in this. Can you please help complete a 10-minute survey to help define Milpitas' Metro Specific Plan for the future? They want community input as to what they should do with the surrounding area of Milpitas BART, whether it should converted into office, retail or more residential units. I know you guys are the experts compared to other people so I would LOVE for you to do this survey. Thank you!

Yes, it connects to the 2nd floor of the parking garage and it's close to the stairs & elevator to the station

the Concar Passage project, recently approved by the local planning commission, is about 960 units on what was mostly a large parking lot for a Ross, and is kitty-corner from the Station Park Green development, which of course is adjacent to the Hayward Park Caltrain station in southern San Mateo. (all of which are just up the road from the Hillsdale/Bay Meadows station area and ongoing development and reconstruction of the tracks there)

I made a short video of how the air is like before and after the wildfires in the South Bay. Thought this might be something some of you might be interested in

Milpitas is planning a brand new Metro Specific Plan.

It looks like they might tear down half of Great Mall to create subdistricts.

along Caltrain line

was on Caltrain for the first time in a while, and there were some notable changes visible...

moving north to south...

was hard to get good shots of the work at South San Francisco station, but here are the tracks beginning to be reconstructed along the southern approach

and I believe this is the station platform entrance to the tunnel by which the station will be accessed from both the east and west sides of the tracks

on the west side, two projects under construction...

one sort of awkwardly placed, but will be essentially adjacent to the revamped SSF train station on its north side

I think this is near Burlingame station, east side

and west side, across the street from the station itself

at Hayward Park station, I believe this is the fourth and final phase of Station Park Green peeking through from the background

at Hillsdale, trains have been moved to the elevated structure built as part of the grade separation project there. again, north to south, this is 25th Ave itself, at the entrance to the San Mateo County fairgrounds on the east side:

continuing on the east side, at Bay Meadows the next, I think final, office building is under construction, with the recently-completed affordable block visible just behind

28th Ave being lowered a bit to pass under the tracks

28th Ave on the west side being constructed looking toward El Camino:

the future station platform

in this shot and in the previous one, I think you can see one of the other Bay Meadows blocks still under construction

31st Ave also getting lowered a bit to pass under the tracks...

... through to the west side

the former Caltrain parking lot adjacent to the former station is also getting prepped for development

even Belmont has a little activity going on

in Redwood City, a couple projects visible on the west side just south of the station

sleepy Atherton has something going on at its station

Menlo Park has massive developments on both the north side of the station...

and the south (though hard to get shots of most of it due to trees)

Similar shot as Gilly's, just a little further south.
