I remember stumbling upon a game at Christie Pits. It felt very authentic and old school. I've often thought they should build bleachers right into the side of that grass hill with free admission. Beer/food sales could go directly to the team. It would be great for the neighbourhood if it grew back back into a significant local attraction. Baseball was once a deeply embedded part of the culture in neighbourhoods across Toronto. I believe there was even a riot between Jewish and Anglo teams back in the 1930s.
