Probably not the same fares but it will be part of the fare structure set by the ARTM.

The ARTM is still working on the new fares structure, but my bet is that the REM's fares will fully integrated to those of the métro within the central zone (let's say from Bois-Franc to île-des-Soeurs), with free transfers to/from STM buses and métros.

But that's just speculation at the moment, we'll find out sometime in 2020 I believe.

Greater Sudbury has decided to rename their transit GOVA. They say it is bilingual as go is English and va is French for the same thing.

Where can I find the new schedule effective August 26? It sounds like the city’s prospering.

Chances are, it'll be on the website close to that date. The city finally has done some improvements to the transit since it amalgamated 20 years ago.

This is a great way to do it. You'll have a direct rail link to downtown and it will be accessible from 2 lines.

New delivery date for Ottawa's Confederation Line is August 16, 2019. If they meet that deadline, launch would be around mid-September.

I wish O-train would be ready by Labour Day weekend.

We're not. I think of it is somewhat of a wasted exercise given the troubles now facing the downtown segment of Stage 1 of the Green Line, making the future of Calgary transit improvements after Stage 1 more unclear than ever.

The Blue Line Airport Link is one of the top priorities for the city after Green Line Stage 1. It's only a couple kilometer extension really, involving only two stations (initially). Even if the Green Line centre-city portion gets put on hold, the blue line part of the airport link will probably start within the next decade. The Green Line Airport Link will take much longer than that, as who knows when phase two of the Green Line will be built.

I'm on the TTC 60 heading east from Pioneer Village. What the heck the driver's aggressive as hell. He drives so fast and stops so rough.

Good question. This is a very low priority, much less important than extending the Green Line so unless the airport pays for it I can't see it being built for a long time.

That is false, refer to my previous post. The most recent release for the city's 30-year 'Route Ahead' transit plan has the Blue Line Airport Link ahead of the Green Line extension north of 16 Ave N.

That would have been so much better so we could properly test the system before the September rush. The three weeks of continued bus service after opening should alleviate any issues we might face.

Major milestone achieved today on the Confederation Line. From Mayor Jim Watson's Twitter:

Quote:
Good signs of progress as 15 double-car trains are now being tested on #ottLRT - which is peak-level service! / De bons signes de progrès avec 15 trains doubles en essai ce matin, ce qui représente un service de pointe.

Thanks for proving me correct. As I said, very low priority. OK, this document puts it a few pixels to the left of the "LRT to North Pointe", but it's behind every other LRT extension (except the 8th ave tunnel) including extending LRT to Seton. And the talk from almost everyone in power is all about the Green Line and very little on the airport line. The Route Ahead plan clearly isn't sacrosanct anyway as they immediately changed it to modify the Green Line.
