I would imagine since they cleared the site, they no longer own it. I haven't really looked, but will next time I'm down there. But is the house still occupied or have they moved out?

Note this is the second school site in the area. The original site on Concordia south of Peguis was, IIRC, too small in the end for what the Province wanted. I suspect they'll hang on to this land.

The whole P3 thing with the PC's was a bad plan. And now they're blaming the NDP for making the kids suffer or whatever the hell they said in the news article.

IMO, no private company should own the school the kids are going to. They already owned the friggin police buildings (and fire?) that were done by P3 under Katz I believe.

P3's for other utilitarian infrastructure items I have no problem with. Such as roads or sewage.

As far as I know the house on Ravelston is still there but I could be wrong. Looking at Google maps it appears to have been chain link fenced off from the greenhouse property.

I thought the Sunka's may have retained the greenhouse structure before possession date, and sold the metal for the scrap value. I'm sure there was no value in all the glass.

I do recall seeing the other school site on the developers sign board when Concordia East was being developed and thought it was vaporware.

Ladco had told people around 2010/11 that a site in Royalwood was suppose to be a school site but it ended up being developed as Condo's

Something definitely going in at the old 7-11 at Ellice and Maryland. Building has been painted, and new exterior lights have been installed on the east and west sides of the building.

I do not recall exactly which council or committee meeting it was mentioned in, but a councillor did mention that the province had purchased the sumka lands.

St Mary's rd boarded up 7-11 had roof work being done to it last week. Nobody dumps money into repairs. Unless the building is going to be reopened as something else. I sure hope it does as it's an eyesore. In an established neighborhood

The house is no longer occupied; they must have moved out.

Same thing happened to the 7/11 at Neil and Watt before it closed when its lease ended.

Talking about 7/11's I was by the closed one on Mc Phillips and Mountain yesterday, and was surprised to see it still had the signage up. Neil and Watt was stripped of everything within two days of if its closing.

Maybe the difference Neil and Watt lost its lease while the other store just closed but 7/11 is still paying rent on the building so there is less of a rush to strip it?

^Apparently it was the owner who terminated the lease. Not sure what it will be now.

Anyone know whats being built on Main at langsdown NW corner? They were pulling what looked like an old gasoline tank from the ground a while back and are driving piles now.

Nope, it's going in where the old high pressure pump supplier (Magickist) building was. Just to the South of the transit compound.

So there's been ongoing work at the old Mitchells Fabric place on Main at Logan. I thought they were going to be adding a storey to the building, as they exposed the structure and added steel up on the roof. But then they just left it flat and appear to be doing roofing works. Quite a renovation just to redo the roof. Anyone know what the storey is (pardon the pun)?

Ok you are probably thinking of the "Marina Style" Safeway store that the Giant Tiger was in before they closed down. That building was sold after Giant Tiger left and I have no idea what is going on with the site.
