You'll just have to look out for someone wearing a beige summer vest; white, pink and gray stockings; and nice lilac bunny socks possibly drinking hot chocolate at the bar or sampling the ahi tuna at the restaurant

For cripes sake guys. We finally get a woman on here and you guys start acting like skater boyz. Try to behave like grown-ups and maybe you won't scare her away.

I didn't mean to offend with my remarks, but anyone who even just lurks through this forum is aware of the cavalier humour that goes on around here from time to time.

Sylvia, I hope you don't get your knickers in a knot and join in on the fun.

Dear Mr. Kississippi:

Not to worry! I would never think of joining in such fun. I only bought a new vest and stockings because my old beige vest and stockings were worn out. I was away for 3 weeks and I was not there in the grand opening of the Nordstrom. I never go in grand opening days because there are too many people. I prefer to go later, when there are less people around. I only went to Nordstrom because I was curious to see what the shop was like. When a retail shop, a restaurant, or movie theatre opens for the first time, I only go there to see what they are like. If I like the place, I go back. If I do not like the places which I visit, I do not go there again. I only drink hot chocolate in the winter. Once May comes, I stop drinking hot chocolate. In the summer, I just drink something cold. I am a real person and I am a woman. That is all you need to know about me. I am not interested in meeting any of you guys. I am only interested what goes on in construction or renovations of buildings. After the Rideau centre expansion is finished, I am not going to participate in this forum.

I'm a big fan of your posts and hope that you reconsider and stay. I am also looking forward to hearing your opinion of the Cineplex at Lansdowne.

Dear Sylvia,

Thank you for allaying my worry and confirming to movebyleap that you are indeed a real person and a woman. And all though that is all we need to know about you, you did reveal that you bought nice lilac bunny socks, so you must have a fun side.

K

Dear Rob64:

I am planning to go to the Lansdowne park cinemas in April, because it will be less crowded. I want to see Cinderella, if it is still playing in April. I do not intend to go to the Lansdowne park cinemas on the 27th or the rest of this month, because the cinemas will be packed full of people. Once I go to the cinemas, then I will tell you what they are like.

Dear Kitchissippi:

I always buy animal socks, because I happen to love all animals very much. I find that animals are cute and they look very good in pictures. I find that dogs, cats, rabbits, and polar bears are nice looking animals.

Are you seriously a woman? To me the usernames mean nothing. I do not know whether all the usernames are men or women.

These are nice photos which you took of these constructed buildings. These buildings are starting to shape up. However, the design does not look like the one in the video. Weren't they going to save the old bricks from the Olgivy store and use it for the expansion. I probably will have to wait and see, once it is completed.

We've been over the Ogilvy Facade project many times now. The 1916 bricks were saved and the building's facade has been rebuilt off site in panels. The reason it looks like this is because its the insulation that will be behind the panels. The big metal pieces sticking out are the mounting areas for the facade to go back up. So far, the current construction matches the renders pretty damn well. It'll look stunning when completed! A few more months :-D Can't wait to see the corner back to what it once was.

So, um, like... are they gonna put the bricks back tho?

Real question: Does anyone know if the addition will have an accessible rooftop similar to the current mall? I haven't seen any mention about it either way. I'm sadly assuming it wont be accessible.

Also, I ate at the Nordstrom restaurant yesterday and it was truly delicious, however the service was extremely slow.

Looking at the pictures above the roof is full of HVAC equipment, so I'd be highly doubtful.

I too am curious, I didnt get whether or not the REAL bricks are going back...

As for rooftop accessibility, I dont recall seeing it in any of the documents I have seen so far. I as well as many others here would agree that as full-scale remodel and expansion of the rooftop gardens would have been a good move. Heck, with the potential up there for creating a beautiful park it is dissappointing they arent! Green roofs save money! lol
