That's for the tract home junkies. Suburban vinyl village junk that only encourages car dependency.

I like that there will be park space, incorporating the creek, and from this map it does seem like it will take up a relatively large space:

30K sq ft seems small for a normal HEB. Even if they did include one, residents of what appears to be the single family section of this development have no way of shopping there except by either walking a mile of meandering trail or driving 4-6 miles along Howard and Harris Branch (trip + return).

I'm having trouble finding a single redeeming quality about this project.

I wonder if they've found the rest of the funds for the train station.

i.e. the kind of neighborhoods that most of us live in; only ours were built in the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s so we can feel superior.

I'm glad it was posted. I hadn't seen it before.

The fact that it's still on their website leads one to believe that this is the current plan. This would be pretty amazing to me because my office is literally right here:

3M is relocating over there. And General Motors, Home Depot, Natera Inc., Allegran and Blue Apron already have offices there.

This is really close to my new house so I have a rooting interest in it. Will be cool to see what comes of it. Right now, it's just this weird post-Soviet-esque hobo resort. Right in the middle of an otherwise-prosperous area.

Happy to report that I just drove by this eyesore, and I see that demolition is going on RIGHT NOW. No matter what they build on that site, I'm so happy to see them knocking those never-completed buildings down.

I don't know why I never noticed the garage paint from the ground before, but I like the paint job.

Thanks for posting these. Amazing to see how built-out the Domain is. Glad they are adding tall high-rises to the mix. It will break up the monotony of the low-rise structions, which look rather haphazard in appearance from above.

If the buildings aren't sitting on a parking pedestal, then there's a parking garage attached in almost every building at the Domain. Another reason I'm quickly falling out of favor with this place. The paint job on the Stonelake garage, in fact the garage itself is nicely done, better than the others, but I'm sorry, they all define the total atmosphere of TD. Its a Car Park City within the city limits. More underground parking please.

Great pics. Thanks for posting those. I'm still having to get used to seeing tall buildings up there. Since there isn't much else around to gauge the height, you kind of forget just how tall they are.

The old Motorola building or whatever looks very out of place. Looks like it was just randomly thrown in even though its been there long before the Domain popped up lol. Does not fit in at all with its surroundings.

Please just tear it down...

This would have been a better location for the tennis center anchored development in Cedar Park. At least there may be ‘bus rapid transit light’ someday on Palmer from Lakeline to 290. It will require a lot more of this kind of thing (and higher density) all along Palmer before we see that happen. Transit and development are so chicken and egg.

In other words, just like Downtown Austin

And unfortunately we are about to get a 14 level parking highrise right in the middle. Though one thing DT has over the Domain anyday is walkability and transit options. And we have cooler taller buildings...

Yeah, that's the old IBM Bldg 045, I agree, time to go. The building along the southwest side didn't want to wait for that and it looks like their design follows the contour of that side. Looks pretty cool actually, but might be hard to explain the shape when 045 is gone eventually. I think the spot that remains afterwards would be a great spot for............a parking garage.

The benefit of parking garages for businesses in the Domain is parking for events at the stadium, of course. Not ideal, but realistic.

I hope people are prepared for a learning curve in the 1st year at the stadium for transit. Also, it's very possible the new bike paths/sidewalks/shared use paths down burnet aren't done and the train won't transition to every 15 minutes from every 35 until halfway though the season when the downtown station is finished.
