Minor update but it looks like something is finally going on in the CRU at the southwest corner of Sky II (Amy St) as stud walls being put up inside dividing the space up a bit.

If it's the same one I'm thinking of, it was studded and drywalled over a year ago, and has sat there ever since. I'm pretty sure the same ghostly coffee cup is even sitting on the window ledge.

There were studs on the ground on the weekend and now they're up as walls. Something definitely happening lol.

Is that the unit that will become the convenience store?

It's good to see some movement. I believe the middle unit sold in April of last year.

I'll miss the coffee cup. It had got to the point where I was saying hello to it every day on my way home from work.

Pretty sure it's the convenience store.

Also, funny coincidence, I believe I saw a light post with Hydro testing out the new options for lighting. I think it was on Waterfront, it was a little LED-looking loop with soft white light. I liked it.

I hope so but it seems pretty chopped up now with "rooms" to be a convenience store. Will be keeping a close eye on it lol

The space that's getting chopped up is in the far southwest corner, and you're right, it looks like it's being chopped into 'rooms' like it will be a professional space.

The space that was rumoured to become a convenience store is still unchanged and the lonely coffee cup is still standing guard as of yesterday.

From all indications, I suspect the space will become some type of medical setting?

On the LED talk, just flew in from 2 weeks in Miami, what a beautiful city when it comes to high rises. As we descended i noticed our city at night glows orange, will it soon change to a white glow once we complete the LED swap?

These buildings are quite handsome, and I hope the city does not pay heed to the owners.

City, property owners disagree on heritage status for Donald Street properties

I guess the owners can't sell out to Calvary temple now.

I agree completely. If you don't want a building you own to be designated a heritage site, then don't buy an old building in or near a national historic site. There are plenty of soulless suburban commercial spaces you can buy.
