Pulling out of the Ferry Building on my way home on the ferry I noticed that I could see the top 3-4 floors. If it is only around the 20th floor now I guess I'll get a prominent view of the top of the building as it is goes higher every day! Even at 60 floors I doubt I'll be able to see One Rincon Hill from the Ferry Building.

Question

Which height figure is the correct height of The Infinity I (300 Spear I, etc.)?? It says 400 ft. (122 m) here and on www.sfcityscape.com, but in the diagram portion of skyscraperpage.com and in www.emporis.com it says 450 ft. (137.2 m).

Wow, this tower is really rising up, and fast too. And just for clarification, is the taller tower going to be 400 feet, or 450 feet?

It seems like nobody knows which is the correct height.

Hmmm, I guess we'll just have to wait until the developer makes it clear.

Agreed. Theres so much opportunity just sitting there, its almost like something has to go there. That big parking lot looks like a good site for two good sized towers or a tower and a park.

^the big parking lot already has a highrise approved. 201 Folsom is owned by the same company that is building 300 spear. It will be built after 300 spear is finished.

i believe the other lots are part of the transbay plan

expect the rendering to be changed just as 300 spear was changed.

im really glad they did they redesign for spear. heller manus' style is alittle too conservative i think.

Yeah, I had a feeling that area was close to the Transbay development area, I just wasent sure. As for 201 Folsom, I didnt know anything about that. I'm imagining that they'll be more or less the same height as The Infinity?

yes they will be the same heights.

this is a very old rendering of both projects from heller manus.

as you can see 300 spear is much improved, hopefully 201 folsom will be as well.

Agreed, The Infinity was vastly improved from its old renderings. So yes ... we can only hope that these too will be vastly improved.

i don't know if you can catch it, but i caught a glimse of the crane for the 301 mission/ millenium tower site. unlike the other two prominent sites (one rincon and the infinity), it's still buried in the mass of highrises of the financial district. too bad we can't see the cranes for the intercontinetal hotel or soma grand projects.

regardless, these are amazing shots. never would i believe that i would see the day where so many skyscrapers were being built at one time in san francisco.

I was amazed at how may cranes are in the sky through out the city. If I had more time
I would have gotten many more shots. Hopefully later this week I'll have time to
post a few more photos in the City Photo section. I'm looking forward to my next visit
in Jan. or Feb. of next year.
