Seems like they dig and cover, then dig again then cover it again. The progress looks almost the same every day. I wonder if a lot of the tasks are planned properly?

From reading the weekly update blog, it sounds like a lot of stuff is repetitive because of the need to keep local businesses hooked up, and there has been temporary utilities installed, and then the new permanent ones. So they have to keep going back in to unhook and hook up. I know the hole in the middle of Richmond and Dundas doesn't seem to look too different each day I drive by it lol

Yesterday I was coming to work after I attended an appointment in the north end of town, so had to drive down Ridout to get to the parking lot where I park my car. While I drove past the intersection of Dundas and Ridout, I noticed that the construction crews were starting to build forms to make curbs and gutters.

So it looks like we'll soon see the beginnings of the flex street being installed, starting with the extreme west end of Dundas Street.

My office is located in the area where the construction is ongoing and I have been wondering why the crews have been digging holes, putting pipes in the holes, then covering up the holes, only to rip them open again.

I believe what they are pouring in those pics in front of your office are the concrete borders for the brick road and sidewalks.
