From what I've heard, only one tower will be sold at a time - similar to how Domicile's Marion Square was sold, plus there may also be townhouses as well. Since high-rise condos and townhouses aren't exactly competition to one another, I would imagine the townhouses will be sold from day 1 or so.

I'm very excited to see what this next Soho has to offer since there was quite a noticable difference between Soho Parkway and Lisgar.

With all of this potential development in Little Italy, it looks like Ottawa's finally developing another 'premium' neighbourhood - let's just hope City counsel has the same image for Ottawa.

Yes, they are. But I find my tastes to gravitate towards Soho a little more than Domicile lately - I wonder if the townhouse residences will have access to the amenities on-site - that would be great, the amenities at Soho Lisgar look amazing.

Has anyone been by the site recently? Looks like their sales office will well under way. Anyone know when they are projected to go on sale? I heard "Spring 2011", but we're in Spring 2011 now.

Looks like the sales office is moving along (haven't been able to see inside of it yet). They added a big 'Soho' entrance on the south side of the office. Looks like they could be ready for May, no problem.

I was talking to a friend of mine who knows one of the sales people - she was told the weekend after the Victoria Day weekend (so May 28th) is the target date for this launch. Weird, but more convenient, that they would do the launch on a weekend - the last two Sohos were launched mid-week if I remember correctly. I hope they stick to the weekend, I don't want to have to book the day off work to stand in line.

The fact that there is a promotional video is good, but I'd be weirded out having these guys as neighbours. They're off-putting.

Well, they already have the hooker....

Definitely could have been a little more clever and less jock-elitist...I feel like I've just spent half an hour standing in aline at a club that's too expensive to get in, listening to guys whose hourly wage surpasses their IQ talk about - what else - themselves.

Maybe they'll make this a series - a video every week/month. Hopefully with less "you don't have a $1 million penthouse? Sucks to be you, loser" content. There's enough inflated heads in Ottawa as it is.

Oh man, don't move to Toronto then. I'd say one of the best things Ottawa has going for it is the high proportion of relatively down-to-earth people. I don't even mind the granolas....at least they're not picking fights with anyone. Toronto is chock full of douche bags in way too expensive clothing, driving way too expensive cars that are either owned by their parents or leased by the skin of their teeth.

I agree 100% toronto is a bit different that way.

I'm pretty sure the video was supposed to be taken lightly and not literally. And the goal was to get a few laughs - I think it did that perfectly.

I think it's great builders are coming up with more imaginative ways to promote their products rather than just sticking up a sign on the lot.

Well, if the sales people on-site opinions are any indication, it sounds like it'll sell faster (I believe they said about 300 people attended Parkway's opening launch and 600+ attended Lisgar's).

Tower 1 is only 16 stories and looks to be no more than 8-10 suites/floor. Excluding the first level (which is usually amenities and offices), that means Tower 1 will have about 150 suite maximum, that's not a terribly big building to sell, I doubt it would take long before they release Tower 2 for sale.

Living that close to Dow's Lake and on the edge of a very desirable neighbourhood (Civic Hospital), I imagine they will sell quick.
