Really, every part of it beyond the "62 inches of Superbowl glory" place that I honestly think they only include just to give men an excuse to walk in there in the first place. Has anybody actually ever bought a TV from the Brick since the 1980s? They seem insanely overpriced more often than not. I guess not paying for 18 months or whatever is an incentive to overpay...

The Bedroom Shoppe and it's sister chain, The Living Room have gon einto receivership. Sucks too as we jsut bought a bed from them recently. It was supposed to be delivered last Tuesday (they called to confirm the delivery) and when it didn't show up we did a little investigating and found out about them going belly up. Hope we can still get the bed as they go through the receivership & liquidation process.

Weren't they the ones who decided "not to participate in the recession?" (One of their ads in the Sunday comics in the Herald)
Went to the one Mucho Burrito in the NW today, they are expanding quite rapidly in Calgary and have a bunch of franchises already sold. Supposedly one is going in to Westhills, does anybody know where it might be? I can't wait for it to open... it is *really* good, but oh, Taco Bell is not going to be happy!
Mucho Burrito is pretty awesome food, like Subway but with burritos. A tad pricey but you get a metric shitton of food for $10.
Comparing it to Taco Bell is like comparing (insert any good restaurant here) to McDonald's. At least use Taco Time, instead of the recycled yankee vomit that is Taco Hell. Taco Time food is at least legally considered food.

I'm more intrigued by "Bankers Hall," though nobody at BH food court seems to know where it's going, if it indeed goes in the food court. It might be a typo and maybe should be Bankers COURT?
On the fast food note- it's interesting to see the places opening in Crossiron Mills- the first Alberta location of Jimmy the Greek is going in there. I liked that place when I lived in Toronto...

Nothing beats a bunch of $1 tacos and those weird cinnamon chip things. I go to Taco Bell when I'm (very) hungry, not when I want a proper meal.
I was out at Bass Pro Shop this past weekend, and was unexpectedly impressed. I'm not much of an outdoorsman, but I was surprised at just how massive the place was, and how much variety they had. The place was packed too. So much for the disaster economy.
Bass Pro is indeed wicked. I went there on business in Toronto and we had a retirement dinner for a former colleague at a restaurant in Vaughan Mills.
Bass Pro was IMMENSE!!! I was there with a bunch of senior pharmacy regional managers (much older crowd, many close to retirement) who you could just tell they were doing math in their head of how many boats, trailers, and fancy outdoor gear they could buy... it was funny to watch them act like kids in a candy store...
Of course I have not yet been to Cross Iron Mills, as I don't drive.
They should really consider providing some transportation if they want people to shop and work at their mall. It's only a few minutes drive as I recall from "North Point", yes?
