On the ground level? Yes. That was always glassed in, but it wasn't so square.

They took the tarping off of the new entrance and it looks great! All glassy and square and such.

Got this link from someone at Science World:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/science...th/5864786386/

There's quite a few recent pics of the lobby expansion there. I haven't been down to the site since it all began, so I'm no good as a source for pics. I need to go visit some time... been way too long.

Photo update | August 16th 2011

A quick Science World photo update, and one that shows a lot of progress being made on the non-motorized boat dock.

Taken by SFUVancouver, August 16th 2011.

Will this dock not be the new AquaBus Athlete's Village stop?

p.s. why painted black vs. galvanized steel on the platform?

Also... slightly updated pic of Science world. You can see the first glazing in the left-ish of the pic:

they have fenced off a big chunk of the park and seawall just north of science world - is that for the "outdoor" portion of what they are doing?

1) yes that will be the new aqua bus stop replacing the science world one.

2) as for the fencing .... what is happening is the insulated pipes for connection to the Neighbourhood Energy Utility system are being installed to connect Science World to the terminus at Quebec & Terminal that the pipes were recently extended to.

keep forgetting to add this - the last few weeks - the outdoor portion has been fenced off - they have removed the playground that was there sometime last week or so and they seem to be removing the grassy mound this week

If you view the BC Place exterior webcam right now, you can see some new lights being tested on the renovated portion of Science World: http://www.bcplacestadium.com/index.php/roof.html
