Platform Announcement

TAPYEG, Edmonton’s municipal political party, has announced its first four platform statement. Positioned as the municipal political party for city builders, TAPYEG has been working hard to mobilize those that will shape the future of Edmonton.

TAPYEG has shared its first four platform statements today on Real Talk with Ryan Jespersen.

“What we shared today goes straight to the centre of what is on the minds of city builders in Edmonton right now. These four platform statements speak to our values and our style of leadership. We are idea-driven and action-orientated.” Said Jeffrey Hansen-Carlson, President of TAPYEG.

The four platform statements are:
Value for Your Tax Investment
Peace and Order in Communities
A Reboot with the Province
The Department of Ideas

Details on each of these policy statements can be found at: www.tapyeg.ca

“The responsibility we have as the first municipal political party in Edmonton is not lost on us. We are committed to build our party into a vehicle to inspire people who otherwise are not interest in City Hall to get engaged and make a difference. That is how we will form the next municipal government in Edmonton.” Hansen-Carlson said.

If Kerry Diotte, Mike Nickel or Jennifer Rice become TAPYEG candidates then forget it.

I suspect that you will see a significant amount of business people working with and backing TAPYEG.

Council needs to come back to centre, focus on some of the basics a bit more and ensure that there is a greater amount of experience and business acumen sitting around the table.

I read the TAPYEG website, and it sounds like what Edmonton needs at this time.

Typical conservative mind-set. Projecting, and name calling.

Seems like you may be an ESL student with your poor grasp of english.

By definition, common sense is what "the common man", so, most of the general population, would think is very logical and a no brainer. So it's kind of defined by what the polls say the population thinks, at any given time.

Also, Black Star, try to be more civil, no needless insults, k?

lol common sense man was banned, looks permanent this time. Can't say I wont miss him, I will. Always like to hear how the propaganda is reaching the commoners who can't think for themselves.

The answer is to fall further behind on infrastructure, hire more consultants and add another level of beauraucracy.

Well at least Tim Cartmell is cognizant of the rampant problems within city Hall.

How long has he been on council for...and he brings this up now!

The City of Edmonton is spending $307,000 on security upgrades at city hall that include taller barriers in council chambers, “no standing” signs in a part of council chambers, and security doors that block access to most of the third floor, Postmedia reported. Some details of the upgrades are contained in a June 13 memo from interim manager Eddie Robar to council made public this week. The upgrades are the result of a security review that followed a shooting at city hall in January.
