I wonder what the twist stands for. It's like the ECB is struggling to do something unnatural... which I hope it is not.

If I got it right, that's the one I (re)posted above. Frankfurter posted plenty of renderings in the previous page.

Yes, I meant that one. I was wondering if it was final because I think I recall seeing different renderings several months ago.

The ECB design is still in the "optimization phase". See: http://www.ecb.int/ecb/premises/html/index.en.html

the Opernturm looks great.
It looks though like the upper part is wider than the base in that rendering.
Whats the deal with that?

Airrail is just perfect I love evergreen glass-rooffed patios/promenades. They are great especially during North-European cold dark winter days.
Why such location (over train station)? It's more difficult to construct building there I guess, but proximity of rail station and airport would be a big plus for businessmen (I hope appartments will have sound-proof walls ).

Opernturm looks like being drawn with wrong perspective, a little funny. May look interesting from some distance

I thought the ECB already had a headquarter building? Is this new one just extra office space, or the "main" headquarter of the headquarters, or something else?

Good to see some progress in Frankfurt, I wish many skyscrapers upon Frankfurt.

Yes, the train station is already there, the AirRail Center will be built directly above it.

I see 2 different renderings of the Opernturm...and also one has 2 spires and the other one one ?

How is "Max" and the "Marieninsel" ? What is their status ?

And what about the "UEC-projekt" , a rendering of the project:

@Grumpy

The Opernturm without spires will be build (last rendering). [unfortunately]

Max is probably dead. No news for years now.

UEC is dead as well. We might see a new project at this location. The land is just too valuable. Most probably a smaller shopping center with some more entertainment, office and residential. The city council didnt like the old concept which had too much retail space.

The KIA Europe HQ is UC right now. It almost topped out.

And thanks for the pics of the airrail center. By the way, the little glass dome will be included in the airrailcenter.

Marieninsel (250m) is still on track. Construction should start in 2010. Desctruction of the old bulding in 2008-2009(?).

I hope "Marieninsel" is getting built it surely is a slender building.
What is the situation with the Metzler Bank ? I guess these two are on the same location , wright ?

Who has some decent pictures of the "Main Triangle" ?
