I have no idea, so I wouldn't guess. I only know a few people who have bought units, and I have't had a chance to look at their earning statements or account balances.

Yes, and I think he plans on using his equity (in his current home) and some borrowed money to buy that condo. As for the comment "they'd like to believe they were" isn't that the marketing campaign?

^I would suggest one is either wealthy, or isn't. What does it mean to "believe" one is wealthy?

"Your life at the towers is filled with amenities customarily reserved for a privileged few."
www.sactowers.com

I guess that would mean living the life of the privileged when you are not.

^how does that suggest people "think" they are wealthy? I interpret that to mean the project will make certain amenities available to people. It doesn't read "Believe us, you are wealthy! Prove it to yourself by buying one of our condos!"
I don't think one needs to "think" they are wealthy in order to want to have amenities normally reserved for the privedged few. I think lots of people who know for a fact that they are not wealthy would still opt to have these amenities given the opportunity. In fact, I would venture to guess that the homeless guy on K street would probably be interested in some of these amenities if he thought they were available to him. And that guy most certainly does not "think" he is wealthy.

I remember the boards back in the good 'ol days. Used to be really nice. I wish all these naysayers would just become lurkers again so we can talk about construction & news again.

interesting factoid I found in Wikipedia (I know, I know, not necessarily the most accurate resource, but the primary source of the article appeared to be the US Census Beurau, which lends it a certain sense of credibility in my mind). The article suggested that the top 3.3% of American households have incomes over $200K. If you accept that the top 3.3% of Americans can be considered to be "wealthy", then I would venture to guess (as much as I'm reluctant to) that many (if not most) people who have bought units in the Towers would therefore be considered "wealthy". Of course, you're free to define "wealthy" any way you want.

So what exactly were you trying to imply with "These people must have more money than brains...?" To me that means people with money are the ones buying into this project.

Huh, I've always believed people with around $100,000 household incomes were devoting between 30-50% of income to buy these condos(Average of course).

Do you really think the AVERAGE household income of people who have bought at the Towers is $100K? That seems too low to me, but who knows.
Anyways, let's please move on. Let me propose that if you wish to continue this dialogue, that we do it offline via pm, thereby saving the rest of the readers from this boring and seeminlgy irrelevant topic.

Yes, the server must have been overloaded. I wish there was a delete option as well as an edit.
