Well, here are some shots. Guesses? I was thinking it could be a seismic sensor too. Seems like a lot of wires to me. The steel is moving along nicely on the garage. It is going to look great when all of these are complete.

Update from Brandywine Q1 conference call last week:

The FMC Tower at Cira South will break ground in the next several weeks with a targeted mid-2016 delivery. Since our announcement, due to FMC’s expansion some refinement to our residential component. We have increased the size of the building by adding several additional floors. We have also added an expanded amenity program, incorporated additional residential units, and enhanced street engagement in public space.

The revised building will contain 870,000 square feet consisting of 635,000 square feet of office, 4000 square feet of retail and 268 residential units. The total cost is anticipated to be approximately $385 million.

Wouldn't get too excited yet. Looks like it's only an additional 60,000 gsf of office, which I would think would be only two more floors, MAX three. I doubt the floor heights are enough to push the whole thing over 700'. Probably coming in right under though.

Three more floors at 13 foot ceiling heights would push the height up to 690 feet. Still a significant height increase from 656

Not at all "significant" in any sense of the word but would still definitely stand out in that area at that height.

In looking at the original renderings again, if the additional 40k square foot (going from 830k to 870k) is added to the floor plates of the higher floors (where the structure actually narrows in width relative to the base), we have a better shot of breaking 700 ft. However, if added to the larger floor plates of the building, we will likely stay 1 or 2 floors below the 700 ft mark.

though weren't the residential floors shorter than the commercial floors - may be a wash - either way at 660 or 700 this will make a dramatic difference to the area all else is splitting hairs more or less

"we have... enhanced street engagement in public space"

This is great news. Remember, this tower will stand alone---and continue to stand alone in height. Penn Park to the south, IRS to the north, and the river to the east. Extra height? Wow. With this and Comcast 2....

Penn designed Penn Park to accommodate development in the future fronting Walnut.

Yes, indeed. I cannot wait until that surface parking lot is replaced with something worthy of the location. I do wish Penn had a similar vision to develop portions of Penn Park along the South Street Bridge east of Franklin Field and the UCity Regional Rail stop. Perhaps that's a job for Penn Connects 3.0.

They did say "several additional floors"; that usually means more than two.

In my book, "couple" = 2; "few" = 3, 4, 5; "several" = 6+

I guess we'll find out.

The other thing to look out for is that once Evo and FMC go up, the rental prices for the retail spots in the ground floor of the parking garage will increase so we should see some interesting things pop up in there as well.
