Took this today from the 25th. Can't see much from this vantage point as of yet other than the cranes.

Fantastic shots!

Did they already excavate the Phase C area, where they now have the ramp down? Sure looks that way.

It definitely seems like they at least partially have excavated that as well. I gues in a month or 2 we can tell for sure.

eclam, if you want you can go to ibb.co and upload your pics. It gives you an [img ] code that can auto show the images here. Unfortunately google drive doesn't allow it for some reason

Another angle:

Fall 2018 Update from King George Hub

Received an email this evening from King George Hub with a small construction update.

Quote:
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
Construction is rapidly progressing on site. Since the last update, 3 tower cranes have gone up, with excavation nearing completion and portions of each level of underground parking poured. An important milestone to watch for in the coming weeks will be the pouring of the first concrete slab at ground level. We are pleased to be on schedule and look forward to continuing this momentum in the new year!

Has anyone heard with the cancelling of the LRT what that'll do to this project and the road that goes through the lot?

Part of the reason it was pushed back was to redesign things so that the road could be moved to fit the LRT station, but now that that isn't required will the road still be moved cause they are too far into constructions or are plans being changed to leave the road as is?

I had similar thoughts regarding the development in the central downtown area. If the Newton-Guildford corridor ends up implementing a BRT line or further enhancing the 96, I don't think the plans should change as it would be very similar to LRT.

The entire phase was redesigned to accommodate relocating the road and is under construction. I don't think anything will change at this stage and the road will continue to be relocated.

The relocated road would also presumably allow a B-Line / rapid bus platform too,
so it would still provide flexibility.
