Concrete is being poured on the west pedestal roof today (I assume that's the roof since the outer columns of the pedestal don't continue beyond this level). Hopefully, this means that the steel framing of the tower will soon start rising (you can see the stubs to which the tower columns will be affixed):

Except mine are just screen captures from the webcam. Thisisforreal's photos are, well, for real!

Looks like, according to the webcam, the concrete pour for tower 2 is more than halfway done

They've paused again on the tower 2 pour, but are slowly working on laying out the roof garden on tower 1, which also involves new concrete.

I don't really know about this one. Seeing it in real life... it almost looks like it's brutalist. And that's not a good look. Not that it's a bad building, but still. It could have been much nicer.

I think that tower 1 is nice looking enough but tower two is going to look spectacular.

the farther you are from tower 1 the better it looks. Up close it's pretty basic in terms of the details and cladding. Tower 2 should be an improvement for sure. I'm glad they didn't make the building clones.

Thank you for the feature of my drone photos @summersm343. I have more drone photos of East Market. You may download them and use them for free for any purposes at www.phillybydrone.com/#downloads.

Wawa confirmed. http://www.philly.com/philly/busines...-20170516.html

Gotta be honest, this really isn't an exciting mix of tenants they've amassed thus far. Here's hoping for some new-to-the-market and more exciting signings.

I daresay that the new Gallery will have better tenants, with Primark, AMC and multiple food options. With that said, East Market will have MOMs & the design firms - so I think the area will end up with a nice mix.

What's wrong with who they've announced? I think it's pretty good so far. What tenants would you prefer?

what the hell is wawa doing here? Why do they need a store here and at 13th and chestnut? Am I missing something? Agreed on tenants so far, nothing exciting so far and nothing (aside from the market) that really offers anything new in this part of town.

wait- I thought Iron Hill was taking that slot? are they going on second floor?

Not to mention the other Wawa nearby on S Broad St.

I think the other tenants so far have been interesting but I really don't see why another Wawa, especially a SuperWawa, is needed.

I think the Iron Hill is going on the other side of that same building. At least that's what I gather from the photo in this article:
