Are you concerned with graffiti on that long white wall?

Havent had an issue yet but certainly its a concern. But best thing i can do if it occurs is to quickly cover it up.

Tracage design changes were approved by HDLC today, so looks like full steam ahead for the project.

Its so interesting to see all the high class designs for buildings that are right next to or close to the Expressway. Tracage, The Standard, hotel on South Peters and the 4 story building I posted last week. Good stuff to see!

Via Latrobe

When driving through the bywater I noticed fences up and a construction trailer out where Via Latrobe is going in!! Excited for that to get started!

That would be a shame... hope it can be revived if so. That was a nice looking project.

Regarding the airport expansion - does anyone have links to the finalized plans? I've always felt that 30 gates would be too small at the outset. MSY is already averaging 150-160 departures per day and at an average of 5-6 departure per gate, it would be full.

My understanding is that they planned the North Terminal so that a 6 gate concourse could be built on either side, bringing the total to 42. It sounds like they are planning to build out one of those sooner rather than later. I hope they plan on expanding the international processing capabilities as well. It would be a stretch to imagine BA going daily, Condor adding frequency, and Icelandair and Norwegian starting up in the next few years. The airport is also targeting service to Mexico City and surely more service to Cancun and other Caribbean destinations is on the horizon.

Also noticed that canopy by hilton doesnt list Nola as an upcoming location(may not mean much) but I wonder if the owners are considering a different brand now. Redeveloping under a new brand can be risky especially if it misfires.
