Great Pictures. I must say that I'm very disappointed in the retail at the Beacon. Seems like they dropped the ball with that retail considering how quickly Paramount & Park filled up.

Also according to the convention centers neighborhood meeting in september teh linear park along convention center boulevard is to begin construction in mid 2017. they are working with the city on a CEA right now and then will bid it out. so i guess its not a dead proposal after all.

Good news concerning the Four Seasons Development

http://www.nola.com/business/index.s...rt_river_index

Quote:
The controversial leader of a company suing to block a Four Seasons hotel development at the former World Trade Center has resigned, and the company's lawyers no longer want to to be involved in the case, attorneys said in court Thursday (Oct. 13).

Now, the question is who will emerge to continue Two Canal Street Investors' lawsuit, which has kept a proposed $360 million renovation of the city-owned riverfront tower into a Four Seasons on hold for 1 1/2 years.

I have! I'm a regular at a bar along Rampart and always down there so it's been cool to see the change. The streetcar's great! Very smooth! I must say also on the weekends and even during the week Rampart has its own vibe now that was never there before! Lot's of people out and about and the street is so well lit and looks great. I think it's a huge addition to the city!

Banks St

Any update on either the condo unit proposed for Banks (near Jeff Davis) and/or the proposed bakery/pizza joint a block from the condo proposal?

really cruising along at 1600 Canal:

Also the Troubadour website offers rooms starting december 7th I think. Thought the October opening was way too ambitious. So looks likes like a soft opening end of november and full opening early december!

Did anything ever end up happening at 111 Iberville/208 Bienville? I thought I read that the proposals were approved.

No London flight announcement yet. Is this really going to happen or was it all just a rumor? It's been 2 weeks.

Looks like 111 Iberville started construction in August.

208 Bienville was under construction several months ago when I parked in the lot nearby. I will look to see if the construction has finished on the site next time I'm over that way.
