I read that Whole Foods is looking to expand their Canadian operations by 40 stores. Surely that would mean at least a couple of stores here.

There has been a lot of "wink, wink, nudge, nudge" that a Super Target will be built on the north-west corner of the old stadium site and that it will have ground level parking under a second-floor store, however I do nto recall seeing all this formally announced. Did I miss something?

Also, if Target has formally decided to return their lease on the Polo Park Zeller's to the mall in favour of the stadium location is there any news on what is moving in? I have heard lots of rumors and speculation on that front too.

My gut feel is Zeller's in Polo Park will either become Nordstrom's or La Massion Simons with the other taking over some of the space from Sears. I actually think H&M and Zara may end up with the north half of Sears, one on the main floor, one on the upper, and the big anchor taking the south half over both floors, assuming of course the mall doesn't use Sears turning over the space for a big new south wing extension.

They have a year to boost sales. Maybe a reno was their way of trying to attract more customers. A fresh look.
