Great! Thanks for the pictures.

Once again, if any of you wonder if you are wasting your time posting here, I'm sure I'm not the only New Orleans ex-patriot who appreciates the posts and pictures of the great progress in NO.

Thanks as always for the pictures, Tennis. Very exciting stuff going on around upper Canal right now. I'm actually surprised I haven't been able to find a website or any additional info on Canal Crossings since it was originally announced.

As I was looking over that Nola.com article about the new hotels in the area I noticed that The Jung Hotel and The Town Place & SpringHill Suites at 1600 Canal St. are set to open by the end of the year.

Tennis do you think that's accurate?

That seems very aggressive but then again The troubadour is supposed to open next month and that looks ambitious to me. Also, The Jung maybe something where parts open before others. So i suppose something could open by the end of the year; however, in the engineer magazine it sais march 2017. So who knows. 1600 canal seems really ambitious;however, they work til about 730-8 each night and the demo work is done now. So I guess they could conceivably get that one done rather quick.

That's what I was thinking as well. I figured they may have coordinated opening dates possibly so they have more activity down on that side of canal when they open.

Also, thanks again for all of the pictures they are appreciated.

Elysian Fields

Looks like Sean Cummings sold his property on Elysian Fields where those elisio lofts were proposed a few years ago. Hopefully something new will come on that block now! http://canalstreetbeat.com/site-of-p...r-3-5-million/

So this means Tracage isn't dead?! There's plans for an "annunciation" on Trapolin's website, I guess that's what they're updating from? http://www.trapolinpeer.com/project/annunciation-2/
And that's too bad about Hotel Modern, Hopefully the holiday inn will keep the great lighting on the building! And I noticed today down magazine the Julian is moving along and they're starting to put up the fancy brick on it
