I've got some good news to report on the 96 B-Line by the way! It seems that TransLink might be keeping their eyes on our forum....

I was heading out of Guildford on the 96 today during the PM peak, and I noticed that the bus had a placard on it by the door reading "via Surrey Central" - addressing the signage issue I was speaking about earlier

there's still no signage at Surrey Central pointing to the bus bays (not even simple [#96 ->] signs, sort of like the [<- #99 #9 ->] sign at Commercial-Broadway), but I think this is good enough as this will help 320 and 321 riders discover the 96 during the morning rush, and then research into it at the office or whenver is best.
The bus picked up every passenger where it stopped, and it pulled into Surrey Central with a load of about 25 (and this is opposite the peak direction). This met a line-up of about 15 Newton-bound riders.
Looking from my 96, in the other (peak) direction I spotted a Guildford-bound 96 with about every seat used (meaning that on a regular 40 ft bus, there would be several standees). I'm quite confident that in a few months we will spot some standing room only 96's
Speaking of the 96, has anyone checked out 96 loads vs. 321 and 320 during the late-night hours, where service is up to 7.5 to 15 minutes from previous 30 minute frequencies? I'd bet that with the presence of the 96, 320s and 321s leaving Central will soon be empty during late night hours.

While whalley blvd is nice its a completely useless stop. there isnt really anything there. The stop should have been at 104 and 140th. there is much higher amount of people in that area.

I think this may have to do with the Whalley Blvd area creating more of an extension of Surrey City Centre, and being a destination for at least some more jobs than 140th Street. By the way, I would actually disagree with you in terms of there being more people at Whalley Blvd vs 140th St, esp. where future land use potential is concerned. The hydro ROW at 140th Street may be quite a limiting factor in terms of improving land use in the area. It's also technically outside the city center zone.
Still, I've noticed quite a few times that a 96 driver bound for Newton will move into the left lane east of 140th St to skip frozen right turns, and then stay in the left right through Whalley Blvd, so long as no one is getting off. All times this has happened, there has been no one to pick up at Whalley Blvd, but it's interesting to see that the 96 may do that sometimes, as it's not necessarily faster into Surrey Central on 96 from there vs. other options.
