That's Beverly Gardens Park. 22 blocks long & one
block house lot wide. Opened 1911. The sign looks like this now:

It runs along Santa Monica Blvd and shields the upscale residential part of BH from the commercial sector and the homes on the "flats", on the wrong side of the once-literal tracks.
(I seem to recall that it was the homeowners north of Santa Monica Blvd that bought the land for the buffer-zone park & presented it to the city, but I can't find the reference right now.)
P.S. The sign is in the slightly wider part of the park between Canon & Beverly.
