It's about time that store re-opened. That should be a major improvement for the area. It's a shame they didn't get it done in time for the streetcar opening.

Great pics! I really can't believe the amount of investment taking place on the upper end of Canal St. That was a no-man's land just a few years ago. Can't wait to see that area when everything is complete. The last big piece to get going is the State Palace Theater in the middle of Canal. I'm also curious to see the plans for the block that burned earlier this year.

Lets be honest its all because of my new house!!!!

But seriously yesterday when I walked around was the first time I really felt the immensity of the changes occurring there. Its going to be a whole different neighborhood in a year. Also, the sheer scale of it just means what took warehouse district 20 years to do this neighborhood will do in two or three years. Combing this with whatever happens to charity and I think your going to be looking at the densest neighborhood residential wise in the city by the end of the decade.

What's the timeline on the TU project? Are they planning on a big expansion in enrollment?

No idea but they had an explanation about each building and why its needed and it was a lot of bringing certain facilities about to modern standards. So who knows but Id guess larger enrollment and more modern facilities overall.

Has anyone heard anything on either Plaza Tower or the Convention Center expansion? I'm a bit surprised the convention center expansion seems to have been swept under the rug. And I really just want something to happen to Plaza Tower...especially with its location where it really stands out, once it's re-purposed, they could easily light it up nice too!

You know I'd check this thread more often if it didn't cause my browser to lock up. Toooooo many images on one page. There should be a way to automatically partition a page after a certain image MB load size.

I know I dont understand why this page is so large. Wish I could change it myself. I think what ill do in the future is instead of post all those pictures in one giant reply ... ill break it up ... that might help change the pages more often.
