They should rename this project "Williamfront Square" in honor of Williams love and steady support for this project

I hope this additional building makes this complex a little more substantial in the city. Right now, I feel WFS is a bit of an island right now.

Beautiful photos, williamphilapa.

I think that WFS will remain an urban island, unfortunately, until something else tall goes up on Del Ave, though. I hope they will--but I can only dream.

Thanks for the info. That does seem to be an awful lot to be in the middle of nowhere.

Do you think those boxes are just covers for the little ornamentation on the top in the renderings?

The structural concrete work will "top out" this coming week, if everything goes according to plan.

The asking prices on these units are unrealistic. Some of the resale asking prices in the first two towers are dropping dramatically, but there still isn't much of a bid. The complex is so disconnected from the city. Until a plan for the Delaware Waterfront with or without the casinos is underway, it's impossible to predict how real estate values here will adjust. There's a permit posted on the lot north of this for a 32 story tower with an address of 1143 N. Delaware Avenue. I'm not sure what that project is?

I was driving home from vacation and saw WFS, it looks great! Its getting pretty high, I think its topped up tho. Once they get the other 2? towers going and than it will look complete.

i agree with Plokoon.
now that the third building is getting up there it looks much more natural for the other buildings to be there. by the time the fifth tower is built i dont think anyone will be complaining about it. it will be like the three towers near penns landing, theyre kind of off on their own too.

By "the three towers" do you mean Society Hill Towers? The big difference is that they were agonizingly designed by I.M. Pei to fit in a very historic neighborhood while WFS was designed by Walmart to sit in an empty lot. They faced a lot of resistance too though.

Ok good news...possibly??

As I was driving to work today, I noticed that while the top of the Reef Tower does contain the concrete "block", it also appears that they are doing something new on the top of the building. They are extending the sides of the building up another few floors on the north & south sides.

It looks like a wall with grooves in it. It is the same beige color as the side panels. I may try to get a pic tomorrow, but its getting much darker much earlier!
I'm not sure how it's going to turn out, but I hope it turns out well.

Agreed - They seem to be treating the top of this one more seriously.
