Not much of a "mall" on the Homer side based on the rendering as there seem to be mostly blank walls at ground level with one cafe.
The restaurants will face Georgia St.
I just noticed in this mega-sized version of the rendering (apologies) that there's a "Whole Foods Market" sign in the drawing, which shows the grocery on the 2nd floor.

The 2016 plans previously had a large retail space in the basement (north side - where this rendering shows a cafeteria (?)). I don't know if that's still retail.

I posted it full size, otherwise the Whole Foods sign wasn't legible.

The Google Streetview also has a good photo of the placement of the circular ramp. I assume the exits will be the two openings to the south of that.

All 22 heritage neon signs on display in a years-long exhibition at the Museum of Vancouver (MOV) will be permanently relocated to the interior publicly accessible common areas of The Post redevelopment in downtown Vancouver.

In late 2019, MOV and redevelopment owner QuadReal Property Group initially announced a partnership to give three neon signs a new home at The Post, but an announcement this week shows the initiative has now grown by more than sevenfold.

...

To prepare for the relocation of the signs, the museum exhibit will permanently close on June 29, 2022. Operating hours in the evening will be extended on select dates, given the popularity of the exhibit. A special celebration event will also be held next month to close the gallery out.

The public will again be able to view and experience the signs in Fall 2023 when The Post reaches full completion. The first phase of The Post, the new south office tower fronting West Georgia Street, will open later in 2022.

Folks, if you haven't checked out the Neon Display at the museum of Vancouver then I highly recommend making some time to do so on a sunny Summer day because the display is pretty awesome .

I personally love the idea of re-homing these historical neon signs in a redeveloped heritage building - and I think that the interior of the Post is going to over-deliver with this extra added bit of historical respect reinserted into its public areas.

I am so excited to go inside and check this one out once it's done, I think we'll be surprsied at the scale inside.

Also I don't think I've ever seen the heritage building that clean, even the red tile is a colour I never remember seeing, likely because it was always dirty and none of the colours could shine. A really good perk of this project was the cleaning/upgrade of the heritage building

Anyone know if Amazon owns the office space or are they leasing?

nice to see the former fortress-like walls along the street opened up with windows. Going to bring a lot of life to that area.

J Richard Group just opened a bunch of 'ghost kitchens'. Maybe a sign of the brands to come in The Post food area?

I wonder if they'll be bankrupt before The Post opens.

DPB - Expansion

It took the Development Permit Board less than 10 minutes to approve this re-configuration of “The Post” office building’s mezzanine level. That 52,287 sqft Heritage Density Bonus was earned from the preservation of Arthur Erickson’s Evergreen Building.

The north tower has been sealed up for several days, and the huge mobile crane is in place, so it looks like the final luffing crane is coming down tomorrow.

^ I can't wait for that road to re-open on a regular basis. It's too unpredictable these days.
