I tried it when I was in the States last year. HUGE line-ups for the restaurant, but I personally didn't think their product was anything special. I doubt I'd ever eat there again, but that's just my personal taste.

I have read that chic-fil-a has plans to open more locations across Canada in the next few years. So there is a good chance it might come here to Winnipeg.
I don't think i would go out of my way to try it when in the US, specially if there is a line up. I'll just wait to try it when it gets here. Too much other food to eat when I'm in the US.

Chik-fil-a okay, not great, have eaten there in the US, last time was in the Twin Cities in the fall, location I ate at was dead, the African American manager didn’t try to preach to me but was super friendly and hospitable!

Racist, misogynistic, homophonic restaurant don’t think so despite what the woke left pretends!

Another blow to downtown Portage Avenue, Dons photo is closing, the good news it’s to Broadway in the former Fools and Horses space.

IIRC Don's Photo was previously announced closing as part of the Boyd thing. Maybe Im wrong there, but I thought they were closing a couple years back.

I thought the same thing too about them closing downtown a few years ago because their building was being redeveloped

I noticed today that Don's Photo has moved from Portage Ave to Broadway.

Now that the entire main floor is vacant, I wonder if something will finally be happening with that building at 410 Portage (Bradburn Building).

^ Maybe something tied to Chipman’s “big upcoming announcement” he mentioned a while back?

Is your name Mr. Jeffery and do you have a very exciting proposal you'd like to discuss?

For actual, non-spammy Winnipeg retail news, it seems the Aldo on Smith was either replaced by or has rebranded as Eph Apparel.

What Costco is doing in Los Angeles

"It appears the popular superstore is going into an apartment development in Los Angeles as a ground-floor retail tenant. And that's generating some excitement and interest among developers and real estate professionals."

Isn't that what is essentially happening ay Polo Park, and proposed at Northgate? Residences in extremely close proximity to a mall/retailer? I hate to use the phrase "captive customers" because no-one will "force" those residents into their adjacent malls, but it looks like retailers are counting heavily on the convenience/customer laziness factor to draw large numbers of those residents into their stores.

The EPH Apparel at St. Mary Ave? That's been there for probably 5 years now.
