Plans were for 24 floors, which is what I count.

Anyone know what project this obstruction evaluation is for? Address is 16 E. University with a height of 265'. Not sure I've read anything on this and don't see it in the Tempe development tracker.

Nice. I believe that's the redevelopment of the Wells Fargo building just off the corner of Mill/University. Mr.RE posted about preliminary plans being filed a few months ago, and someone posted 1 page back about it going before the DRC study session next month. I think 265 is the first we've heard of the height. No renderings yet or other details as far as I know.

Thanks! And this 300 footer just down the street (27-story mixed-use high rise, 34 E. University Drive)?

Shady Park won their appeal so it's going back to court.

First Amendment is pretty spurious, but the worst part about the ruling was the judge's extralegal decision that they should be beholden to special hours just because. If Tempe enforced their noise ordinance or created one that respected the existing entertainment uses downtown, this would have never gotten where it is now.

Mr.RE posted a couple pages back about plans, 399 units.

211 E 7th St is nowhere near 34 E University.

Strange that a Hubbard Street Group project flew under the radar like this. I'm sure the bizjournal will write an article about it soon now that we've found and talked about it.

Yeah seems like a likely pyrrhic victory. But if there is a renewed injunction hopefully it's more restrained.

Yeah, its not the same project. There are 3 completely different projects.

-16 E University (Wells Fargo Building West of Shady Park): 265' by Wexford
-Skye Tempe (Salvation Army Building East side of Shady Park): 300'/27 Story by Hubbard Street Group
-211 E 7th Street (East side of Atmosphere): 325' by Trinitas Ventures? (Same Developer as Atmosphere) - I'm told its the same developer and ASU is not in favor of the height...

Plus apparently the lot next door (SWC of College and 7th) is also in development, but its a mid-rise, 8-9 story by a developer from the Northwest, but they have ASU on board.

More Tempe news.

Fore Property Co. is seeking approval to start its next multifamily project in the Valley.

Tempe City Council will kick off the new year by considering a proposal for a six-story, 343-unit called Rio & McClintock at its Jan. 5 meeting, according to city planner Obenia Kingsby. The 3.4-acre site slated for the proposed mixed-use project is located south of Loop 202 on the southeast corner of McClintock Drive and Rio Salado Parkway.

Dove deep into the Wells Fargo Redevelopment and I am not sure this is the same proposal, however I found this on the developers website. I wonder if this is the same or a different development proposal. Would look great if so and add a lot of life to the mill/university intersection. It doesn't make sense with the streets as there are other developments to the east (namely the Skye Tempe proposal). Does anyone have info on this proposal from KTGY?

It might be an old proposal for this parking lot next to The Beam and the new Tempe Depot project. Or I might be grasping at straws here. Would be interesting in this area to have two big construction projects in the works if this is the case.

Yes that is the same proposal. Although there was an even denser proposal with 3 towers before that one that included an office midrise. It would create great synergy with the Beam, the Yard and The Depot (assuming that project is still a thing)??
