Great Winnipeg photos!

On another note...we really don't get enough Quebec City anything here. It's like Canada's forgotten city or something. I want to see the neighborhoods, street level walks, business centers...anything, really. We just always get the same old views of the same old skyline and that's it. I've heard it's one of if not Canada's most beautiful city and yet all I ever see of it are the same tired angles of the same part. Nothing new is happening there, everything is happening outside of the "core". Well, if you're going to show me the core, then show it at street level or something. I know next to nothing about what QC looks like on the ground and that, to me, is a crime against Canadian history.

All what I can say is Québec City has much more to offer than just the old City. Some parts of the Pre-war neighbourhoods that are surrounding the old city would blow you away. Lots of surprises here and there and hidden gems.
Other than that, there are in & around the city some amazing natural settings aswell as lots of historic villages, some of the oldests in Canada. It is really a must see city & region for any canadian, like a very well kept secret.

Agreed. Quebec's greatest neighbourhoods aren't the historic core. They lie just outside it. And they're some of the best neighbourhoods in the country. The newer areas of Quebec City aren't good, but the extent of fantastic neighbourhoods in a CMA of less than one million people are unparalleled in Canada.

I think our newer areas are not worse. They are just ''normal'' to me. But according to me, the fact that most of the city is hilly makes them a little more ''enjoyable'' than if they were erected on pancake flat areas. At least you get a nice view/vantage points of the rest of the region/city when you're higher, like say, from Charlesbourg.
