Right downtown, on the street, this building lends a solid, "big city style" presence and continuity to the street scene, and for me, that is what counts the most.

Close up is ok, but still nondescript, as can be seen from almost no one heaping praises on it anymore.

Our downtown really needs a new tall office tower, now that we have so many residential, so I find this a wasted opportunity. Office towers really do light up the downtown skyline a lot better than the residential ones.

Apparently, the 2 Executive Inn hotels will not be linked.

I assume this isn't a red herring, like the Telus crane lift that didn't materialize. Anyone that wants to watch it should probably grab some sort of caffeine source though.

The Telus crane lift happened. They closed at least two lanes of West Georgia, and lifted something very large onto the top of the old block under renovation, over the top of the lower part of the new block. It wasn't the crane removal that some assumed was going to take place.
