I think the French expression "pré-métro" would be appropriate for this kind of transit infrastructure.

The Bruxelles pré-métro (strangely, there are no English-language entries for it) is similar to Ottawa's Confederation Line.

Yes it would be the appropriate term. Difference with a light metro is that light metro uses shorter "heavy rail" trains.

Shakes head at these silly debates.

I don't care what technology is used. What I care about is that the city protect a right of way connection between the Trillium Line and the Confederation Line at Bayview so that 100,000+ people who live between Billings Bridge and the Greenbelt, could actually use the Trillium Line that runs right through their neighbourhood.

Like many things there will never be a solid line between terms / technologies, but the basic one I like is simply metro vs. non metro.

Is it fully grade separated? Metro.

Does it have road interactions? Not metro.

Of course this isn’t perfect either (always some caught in between) but it works for most urban rail systems.

That's the simplest definition and the one I use.

Rapid Transit, though is categorized the same on Wikipedia, seems to be used by governments in a much broader sense to describe classic light rail and bus rapid transit.

Interesting that they're using a solid rail for overhead power rather than caternary wires. I've noticed both used on different lines here in Shanghai (all but one of Shanghai's Metro lines use overhead rather than third rail), but I've always wondered if there are advantages / disadvantages to each.

Construction of the access tunnel to the STM's new Cote-Vertu metro garage.
Once the project is completed, the STM will be able to store 20 trains at the western terminus of the orange line instead of 10.
Combined with new track switches, it will allow the frequency of the line to improve to 2 minutes instead of 2.5.

City of St Alberta will discuss replacing all of their Diesel fleets with EV buses as the older buses. Currently they have had 3 in operation through the winter, that was after a 1 year trial. 4 more to be added to the fleet this year. they currently have 60 buses. It may take about 10 years to replace the entire fleet.

In this case it changed last year. "People are confused about our name change, so let's change it again!" Also their branding is all over the place in their video.

Well it's the whole taxi industry that adopted the "bonjour". Each company has its own colour, but they all have "bonjour" on the side :

Like it or not, I'd say that the allo design on trains and buses makes sense, at least in terms of regional branding. It's consistent.
